Szymon Kaça, clarinet

After completing his Master's degree in Management in 2005 at the Warsaw School of Economics Szymon decided to focus his energies solely on music. 
Based in Paris since 2006, he completed a Master's degree in music pedagogy (specializing in clarinet) at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw (2008) he obtained as well a postgraduate diploma at the Boulogne Billancourt Conservatory (2011).
Besides his passion for the interpretation of contemporary music, Szymon is particularly interested in teaching. He teaches the clarinet at the Ivry-sur-Seine Conservatory, Vaires-sur-Marne Conservatory and in the DEMOS - project of the Cité de la Musique in Paris.
His interest for a contemporary music led him to work with the clarinetists like Jean-max Dussert, Ernesto Molinari and with young and established composers including Jean-Luc Hervé, Jean-Marc Singier and Philippe Hersant. He has recently premiered a piece „Simoun”, composed for him by the composer Piotr Grella-Możejko. Szymon was invited in september 2012 to the 23. session for composition « Voix nouvelles » at the Abbey of Royaumont by a Spanish composer Alberto Posadas to present his piece for clarinet solo „Sínolon”.
Szymon has performed with the ensembles including “2e2m” and “le Balcon” and he played as a soloist with the “Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra”. He also performed solo recitals in the concert halls including the “Théâtre de l'Ouest Parisien” in Boulogne-Billancourt, the « Darmstadt Ferienkurse für neue Musik » or the  «Paul  Marmottan Library » in Boulogne-Billancourt.
